8. Emil (Marks)⁴ Marx (Charles (Marks)³, Abraham A.², Charles¹) was born in Detroit, MI December 5, 1887. Emil died August 29, 1978 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH, at age 90. His body was interred July 10, 1980 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH, Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Pearl "Jane" Boyle February 7, 1918 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH. Pearl was born August 24, 1899 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH. Pearl was the daughter of George Boyle and Elizabeth McAfee. Pearl died December 8, 1961 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH, at age 62. When Pearl was age 19 and Emil (Marks) Marx was age 31 they became the parents of Richard Ellis Marks April 1, 1919 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH. He married Ruth Bell Andes March 2, 1942 in Miami Beach, FL. Ruth was born September 30, 1905 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH. Ruth was the daughter of George Andes and Sarah C. Bell. Ruth died September 7, 1997 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH, at age 91. Her body was interred August 12, 1998 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH, Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. When Ruth was age 39 and Emil (Marks) Marx was age 56 they became the parents of Emil Marks December 4, 1944 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH.

When Emil was age 31 and Pearl "Jane" Boyle was age 19 they became the parents of Richard Ellis Marks April 1, 1919 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH. When Emil was age 56 and Ruth Bell Andes was age 39 they became the parents of Emil Marks December 4, 1944 in Toledo, Lucas County, OH.
