1. Alexander¹ Hirschfeld was born January 10, 1854. Alexander died November 7, 1899 at age 45. imoe612 His body was interred in Detroit, MI, Woodmere Cemetery.

He married Minna "Minnie" Ascher before 1884. Minna was born May 30, 1863 in Prussia. Minna was the daughter of Simon A. Ascher and Bertha Lewyn. Minna died February 14, 1929 at age 65. imoe611 Her body was interred in Detroit, MI, Woodmere Cemetery. Minna immigrated to New York, NY November 12, 1866. She resided street unknown, in Detroit, MI 1867. Minna was listed as a household member living with Simon A. Ascher on the 1870 Census in Detroit, MI. When Minna was age 22 and Alexander Hirschfeld was age 31 they became the parents of Magnus Alexander Hirschfeld June 8, 1885 in Milwaukee, WI. When Minna was age 26 and Alexander Hirschfeld was age 35 they became the parents of Bruno Alexander Hirschfeld December 4, 1889 in Milwaukee, WI.

Alexander immigrated to destination unknown September 1872. NY Passenger List: 1872 September aboard Fresia from Germany:

Alex Hirschfeld 18 Male Clerk – [this would make his birth year 1854] Fresia departed from Hamburg Germany & LeHavre, France. No other Hirschfield aboard that sailing.

When Alexander was age 31 and Minna "Minnie" Ascher was age 22 they became the parents of Magnus Alexander Hirschfeld June 8, 1885 in Milwaukee, WI. When Alexander was age 35 and Minna "Minnie" Ascher was age 26 they became the parents of Bruno Alexander Hirschfeld December 4, 1889 in Milwaukee, WI. Alex immigrated in September, 1872, aboard the Fresia, which sailed from Hamburg, Germany and LeHavre, France, to New York. At that time, he listed his occupation as clerk.

Alexander Hirschfeld and Minna "Minnie" Ascher had the following children:

+ 2 i. Magnus Alexander² Hirschfeld was born June 8, 1885.

3 ii. Bruno Alexander Hirschfeld was born in Milwaukee, WI December 4, 1889. Bruno died February 1967 at age 77. Bruno was living in Illinois when his Social Security Number was issued, prior to 1951.
