Note on Husband: Sanford "Sandy" B. SANFORD

Sanford B. Sanford, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, March 27, 2015 at the age of 87. Sandy lived a full and blessed life. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio the eldest of three boys. Sandy spoke fondly of his modest upbringing with his loving parents and brothers in Cleveland and Springfield, Ohio. He attended Springfield High School and The Ohio State University. A lifelong Buckeye fan and Sigma Apha Mu member, he graduated with a BS in Business Administration. In between his college years, he served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a chaplain. Sandy put his education to work as a true entrepreneur owning numerous, diverse, businesses including Sanford Drug, North American Paper Company, Signal Leasing, Broadcast Video Corp. and Curtis Duplication. He served on numerous boards and associations both in Columbus and at his part time residence in Florida, including long-term service as a trustee of Temple Israel.

Note on Wife: Morlene JAFFE

Morlene was born in Cleveland, OH and was raised in Akron, OH graduating from Buchtel High. She attended Ohio State University, and later transferred to Kent State to be closer to help with the family business, Summit Leather. Morlene raised her family in Bexley, OH and was an avid baker, remembered for her famous coconut cream pies which were packed with love. She was a docent for many years at The Columbus Museum of Art, and went onto run Royal Tours, hosting countless group cruises around the world.
